The goal is to raise much needed funds (and awareness) for the Hatchery to repair their roof (hence the name) as well address other infrastructure projects as required.
Raise the Roof is the first in what we hope will be an annual event that will contribute revenue to the facility and ensure it's healthy future. This, in combination with new sponsorship and financial programs we are pursuing, we hope to position the Fish Hatchery, under the direction of the HHOA, as one of the leading conservation and environmental facilities, offering an array of educational and recreational opportunities, in Ontario. Without question, it will become a vital component of our County tourism product.
Tentatively, we have a couple of well-known bands as well as a number of regional artists for this day long event. We hope to announce the event and talent roster within the next few weeks.
